Job summary

Stirling Dynamics is seeking a Technical Manager for the Structural and Fluid Dynamics capability group. The role is based in Bristol with flexible working and requires SC clearance or eligibility.

You will lead the technical excellence, guide resource planning for the capability, and drive ongoing improvement across tools and processes. You will balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, manage budgets, and support business development while coordinating with other

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related discipline.
• Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant specialization (desirable).
• Membership of an Engineering Body (desirable).
• Chartered Engineer Status (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on projects within the Structural and Fluid Dynamics capability.
• Ensure appropriate technical support for customer interactions.
• Manage external suppliers including tendering and quality audits.
• Facilitate delivery by ensuring the right people, tools, and processes are in place.
• Own and drive continuous improvement of processes and tools.
• Balance hands-on technical work with people management and capability development.
• Collaborate with other Technical Managers for cross-functional alignment.
