Job summary

Vitabiotics Ltd. is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our quality control team in North West London. You will oversee product transfers, packaging development, and new product development from concept to launch, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

You will manage a three-person team, drive cross-functional collaboration, and deliver robust, commercially viable solutions while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across formulations and processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in product development, formulation, and technical project management.
• Experience leading product transfer and scale-up activities.
• Proven people management experience.
• Experience managing packaging development projects.
• Strong understanding of quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three direct reports, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
• Coordinate product transfer activities between manufacturing sites and external partners; ensure scale-up and tech transfer.
• Support development of new products from concept to launch; translate market needs into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimise formulations for new and existing products; conduct stability studies and evaluations.
• Lead design and development of new packaging solutions; evaluate materials for cost and compliance.
• Manage multiple technical projects; prepare plans, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements; support audits and investigations.
