The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint an exceptional Technical Manager to provide strategic leadership of technical services within its School of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

The Context

The Role

This position goes beyond operational management. It requires a leader who can:

• Set and deliver technical strategy aligned with School and University priorities
• Build and lead a high-performing, agile technical workforce
• Oversee complex laboratory and specialist environments, ensuring they remain fit for future demand
• Act as a trusted advisor to academics and leadership on infrastructure, investment, and capability
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across technical services
• Ensure rigorous health, safety, and compliance frameworks in a complex environment
