Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Capture intellectual property through CAD design, testing and ERP load.
  • Follow structured design, development, quotation and change control processes.
  • Support sales with technical proposals aligned to customer specifications.
  • Manage department processes with throughput and backlog KPIs.
  • Apply finite element analysis, calculations and simulation tools to reduce design iterations.
  • Act as the technical authority in valve configuration and repair services.
  • Maintain a culture of Quality and Quality Improvement.
  • Protect brand integrity of exclusive products.
  • Contribute to the management team and build supplier/customer relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, legal obligations and Health & Safety requirements.

The Role

Rubix Valve Technology is a specialist channel focussed upon the supply of engineered valves and ancillary products into high-value project-based customers. The Technical Manager will contribute towards high rates of added-value, technically differentiated growth by delivering high quality, innovative solutions to customers.

The Role

Rubix Valve Technology is a specialist channel focussed upon the supply of engineered valves and ancillary products into high-value project-based customers. The Technical Manager will contribute towards high rates of added-value, technically differentiated growth by delivering high quality, innovative solutions to customers.

Through functional leadership and individual contribution, the role will ensure comprehensive and compliant product definition for both standardised ranges, configured assemblies and bespoke solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture of intellectual property through CAD design (Solidworks & Revit), testing (utilising a suite of advanced in-house test capabilities), and ERP system load.
  • Following structured design, development, quotation and change control processes capturing inputs, outputs, validation and verification steps in line with departmental procedures contained within the Quality Management System.
  • Support of sales through the generation of technical proposals that clearly explain the features and benefits of the value-added solutions generated, with the explicit objective of being “designed in” to customer specifications.
  • Management of departmental key processes to ensure effective support to sales functions and sustainable sales growth. Each QMS key process should have both throughput and backlog KPIs that are used to control the process.
  • Use of finite element analysis (F.E.A.), mathematical calculation and simulation tools to minimize design iterations required to achieve functional design
  • Act as the technical authority in the execution of our valve configuration and repair services.
  • Operate within and maintain a culture of Quality and Quality Improvement.
  • Protecting the brand integrity of our exclusive brand products.
  • Act as a member of the management team
  • Contribute positively to customer satisfaction and establish and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers
  • Comply with Policies and procedures, legal obligations and Health & Safety requirements
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • Excellent technical knowledge of valves and pressurised equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to customers.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
