Job summary

Les Domaines UK is seeking a Technical Manager to own product safety, legality and quality across our UK and Ireland fresh produce business. You will act as the technical link between customers, the commercial team, and growers at source, driving standards and continuous improvement.

You will manage retailer platforms and audits (GLOBALG.A.P., BRC, HACCP, SEDEX/ETI), work closely with suppliers and packhouses, and provide actionable feedback to the Morocco-based team.

Qualifications

• Several years' technical experience in fresh produce or closely related food supply chain environments.
• Strong working knowledge of food safety and quality standards (GLOBALG.A.P., BRC, HACCP, SEDEX/ETI).
• Track record of managing technical relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Experience with packaging specifications, artwork approval and EPR reporting.
• Understanding of farming practices and crop husbandry, or willingness to develop it.
• Comfort with regular international travel and overseas auditing.
• Proactive, improvement-minded approach with ability to influence at all levels.
• French language proficiency desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured feedback to Morrocco team on quality, claims analysis and retailer activity.
• Own packaging specifications, artwork approvals and collating EPR data.
• Support the commercial team on quality, climate and legislative issues and new business development.
• Travel internationally on a regular basis to supplier sites and customer locations.

Les Domaines UK is looking for a Technical Manager to take ownership of product safety, legality and quality across our UK and Ireland fresh produce business.

Les Domaines UK has been trading since 2014, and we're part of the wider Les Domaines Agricoles group — a family of businesses growing and supplying fresh produce since the 1960s.

The opportunity

You'll be the technical link between our customers, our commercial team, and our growers and packhouses at source — with real ownership of standards, relationships and continuous improvement.Specifically, you'll:

• Own product safety, legality and quality — maintaining specifications, due diligence and compliance with current legislative and customer requirements
• Manage technical relationships with customers — handling complaints, rejections and issues through to resolution, and ensuring their requirements are understood and met at source
• Work closely with suppliers, growers and packhouses — maintaining approved supplier lists, driving quality feedback, and overseeing audits and visits
• Drive vendor assurance and accreditation — managing retailer platforms and standards including GLOBALG.A.P., BRC, HACCP and SEDEX/ETI
• Provide structured feedback to our team in Morocco — on quality, claims analysis, benchmarking and retailer activity
• Own packaging and artwork — maintaining packaging specifications, approving customer artwork, overseeing packaging innovation, and collating EPR data
• Support the commercial team — advising on emerging quality, climate and legislative issues, and contributing to new business development and cost efficiencies
• Travel internationally on a regular basis — including visits to Morocco and customer sites

What we're looking for

• Several years' technical experience in fresh produce or a closely related food supply chain environment

• A track record of managing technical relationships with both customers and suppliers

• A proactive, improvement-minded approach and the confidence to influence at all levels
• French language proficiency desirable but not essential
