MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting for a Technical Lead in Belfast. You will take ownership across people, delivery and technical direction within a growing engineering function, partnering with Product and Engineering to shape practices and culture.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive delivery excellence and contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering background.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or React.
• Previous experience managing or leading engineering teams.
• Strong technical understanding and comfortable contributing to technical discussions and code reviews.
• Experience working closely with Product and other stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
• Based within commuting distance of Belfast.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Technical Lead - Ruby / React

I'm currently working with a well-established technology business that is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to join their Belfast team.

This is a newly created role within a growing engineering function, offering the opportunity to take real ownership across people, delivery and technical direction.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Product and Engineering, helping improve ways of working, supporting delivery and developing a talented team of engineers.

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial software engineering background


• Experience with Ruby / Ruby on Rails and/or React
