Job summary

Service Care Solutions is seeking a Technical Lead – Renewable Technologies in Kent. The role focuses on Air Source Heat Pumps and low-carbon heating, combining hands-on fault finding with technical leadership, contractor oversight and standards development.

You will coach and train trades teams while supporting asset management and strategic direction for low-carbon heating across Kent. A full UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with Air Source Heat Pumps and low-carbon heating.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience across heating, controls and hydronic systems.
• Experience servicing and maintaining heat pump systems.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or training technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across ASHP and low-carbon heating systems.

• Monitor installation quality and technical performance.

Technical Lead – Renewable Technologies £52,471 per annum | Permanent | Kent

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Technical Lead – Renewable Technologies to join a housing organisation in Kent. The successful candidate will provide specialist technical support across renewable and low-carbon technologies, with a particular focus on Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP). The role will combine hands-on fault finding and diagnostics with technical leadership, contractor oversight, developing standards and supporting the upskilling of repairs teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise across ASHP and low-carbon heating systems
• Diagnose complex faults and recurring system issues
• Support repairs teams, contractors and managers with technical advice
• Monitor installation quality and technical performance
• Develop technical standards, procedures and best practice
• Provide coaching, training and technical guidance to trade teams
• Support Asset Management and Development with low-carbon heating strategy

The Candidate:

• Significant experience with Air Source Heat Pumps / low-carbon heating
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience across heating, controls and hydronic systems
• Experience servicing and maintaining heat pump systems
• Experience coaching, mentoring or training technical teams
• Knowledge of housing standards and landlord compliance
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing, Heating, HVAC or Building Services
• BPEC or equivalent Heat Pump qualification
• F-Gas certification
• Unvented Hot Water qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence

Details:

• £52,471 per annum
• Permanent
• 42 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm
• Based across Kent
• Basic DBS required
