Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Ipswich is seeking a Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer to install, commission and service air source and ground source heat pumps across Ipswich and East Anglia. You will maintain safety and quality standards, complete commissioning documentation, and work with scheduling and operations to deliver projects for domestic customers.

A UK driving licence and relevant NVQ or equivalent are required, with desirable MCS knowledge and further heat pump

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience installing and maintaining renewable energy systems, particularly heat pumps.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps and associated technologies.
• Complete commissioning documentation and compliance records accurately.
• Ensure all works meet industry standards, regulations and company procedures.

Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer to support the installation and commissioning of renewable heating and energy systems across them Ipswich and East Anglia region. This is an excellent opportunity for a Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer to join a growing team delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions to domestic customers.

The Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer will play a key role in helping customers transition to low-carbon technologies while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

As a key member of our engineering team, the Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer will:

• Install, commission and service Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP) and associated renewable technologies.
• Complete commissioning documentation and compliance records accurately.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with industry standards, regulations and company procedures.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with scheduling, technical and operational teams to deliver projects efficiently.

To succeed in this role, the Renewables Engineer / Heat Pump Engineer will need:

• Experience installing and maintaining renewable energy systems, particularly heat pumps.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of heating systems, controls and hot water systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Desirable:

• Heat Pump Installation qualification.
• F-Gas Certification.
• Unvented Hot Water Qualification (G3).
• MCS knowledge and experience.
• Electrical competency and renewable energy experience.
