Role Title: Tech Lead – Mobile Applications

Duration: contract until 31/12/2025

Location: Sheffield, hybrid working

Rate: up to £400 per day - Umbrella inside IR35

As a Tech Lead, you’ll play a critical role in leading the technical delivery of cutting-edge mobile features, mentoring an ambitious team, and working closely with stakeholders across product, UX, architecture, and DevOps. • Lead and mentor a talented mobile engineering team, ensuring technical excellence across projects.
• Guide architectural design, work prioritisation, and solution development in a collaborative environment.
• Drive scalability, performance, usability, and maintainability across our mobile products.
• Collaborate across product and engineering teams to design, build, test, and deploy impactful features.

Key Skills/requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on native mobile development.
• At least 3+ years industry experience using React Native.
• Experience leading engineers for at least 1+ years within a mobile development environment.
• Deep expertise in React Native and strong working knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, achievable technical outcomes.
• Passion for robust, user-friendly mobile applications with high performance and security standards.
• A collaborative mindset — great at partnering across engineering, product, UX, and beyond.
• Strong coaching instincts: lift others up and build high-trust teams.
