Job summary
The Financial Times is seeking a Senior Technical Lead within Commercial Technology to provide technical direction for Marketing & Commercial Data capabilities. You will guide architecture, drive secure, scalable solutions and partner with Product, Data and business stakeholders.
You will mentor engineers, champion engineering best practices, and lead critical platform changes as the FT evolves its marketing and data platforms toward Salesforce-based capabilities while maintaining operational
Qualifications
- Experience leading engineering teams or large tech capabilities.
- Strong architectural judgment for secure, scalable systems.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction for the Marketing & Commercial Data capability.
- Lead architectural thinking and key technical decisions.
- Establish engineering standards and monitor debt and risk.
- Mentor engineers and encourage ownership and learning.
- Partner with Product, Data, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
- Ensure security, resilience, observability and operability.
