Job summary

Financial Times is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead one of our engineering teams within Commercial Technology. You will own delivery, performance and evolution of the Marketing & Commercial Data capability, balancing new features with operational health and platform stability.

You will work closely with Product, Programme and business stakeholders, translate priorities into engineering plans, and coach a team to deliver business outcomes while growing engineering capability for

Qualifications

Experience leading software engineers within a collaborative engineering environment.
Strong coaching, feedback and people-development skills.
Proven track record delivering across complex platforms or products.
Ability to balance strategic programme delivery with operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Own engineering delivery across Marketing & Commercial Data capabilities.
Shape priorities, roadmaps and delivery plans with Product and Programme teams.
Lead allocation of engineering capacity and manage dependencies.
Identify and manage risks, dependencies and capability gaps.
Lead and develop engineers, fostering ownership and accountability.
Collaborate with Technical Leads and other teams to align architecture and standards.
Drive operational readiness, observability, and incident response for capabilities owned.
Guide platform evolution and transition from legacy systems to Salesforce-based capabilities.
