Arup is seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Marine Ecologist to drive growth, quality and sustainability of our Marine Ecology offering across the UK and Europe. This strategic role requires strong technical expertise in Marine Ecology, alongside market mapping, client relationship building and internal capability development.

The successful candidate will ensure the Marine Ecology service line is commercially robust, technically excellent, and aligned with client needs and future market

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Marine Ecology or related discipline.
• Chartered status (CEnv, CEcol or equivalent) desirable.
• Proven track record in Marine Ecology with leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in marine ecology.
• Ability to build and sustain client relationships at senior levels.

• Map existing and potential Marine Ecology opportunities across UK/Europe.
• Build strong relationships with major clients and position Arup as a trusted advisor.
• Audit skills, supply chain partners, and team capabilities to inform reskilling and recruitment.
• Secure and deliver Marine Ecology lead roles on major projects; ensure profitability.
• Provide SME oversight on complex projects, ensuring delivery excellence and regulatory compliance.
