Job summary

Mars seeks a Technical Lead for Generative AI & Cloud Technologies to act as the primary technical authority for enterprise AI and cloud-native solutions. You will guide design, integration, and development across global teams, reporting to the Global Head of Data, AI and Enterprise Architecture.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping with AI models, architecture governance, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or architectural design capacity.
• Experience designing mission-critical, secure, high-availability, scalable systems for large transaction volumes.
• Hands-on coding with AI-assisted tools (Github Copilot, Claude Code) and multi-agent orchestration.
• Proficiency with APIs/REST/HTTPS integrations and enterprise AI platforms (Azure, GCP) and integration with Microsoft, Workday, SAP.
• CPG/Retail domain experience preferred.
• Strong collaboration with external vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Learning agility and ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of technology initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Rapid prototyping: build PoCs/MVPs using emerging AI models to solve business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Create high-level and detailed architecture designs considering performance, security, integration, and UX.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with technology trends and assist in estimating timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Contribute to architecture standards, guidelines, and roadmaps.
