Job summary

Leeds City Council is recruiting a Senior Commercial Technical Officer – Asset Management (Housing) to lead commercial maintenance across housing stock. You will oversee heating, renewables, sprinklers and other assets, coordinating contractors and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable services.

The role emphasizes managing contracts, budgets and project delivery within high-rise and multi-occupancy settings, with a hybrid working arrangement and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum building/construction or M&E related qualification to HNC / HND level or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for frontline delivery of commercial maintenance & services (including legionella, district heating, sprinklers) in-line with standards.
• Manage activities in compliance with legal, regulatory, contract and internal requirements.
• Support service plans with stakeholders to improve the service and achieve council objectives.
• Drive value for money and customer-focused service.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Oversee budgets and spend in-line with agreed profiles; prioritize and plan work.
• Ensure robust audit and risk management procedures.
