Job summary

Assist Security Group is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer/Technical Lead to act as the company’s senior technical authority. The role combines customer engagement, technical design, pre-sales support, installation, commissioning, fault finding and quality assurance.

You will personally undertake technical surveys, develop system designs and lead internal and third-party engineers, ensuring compliance with British and European standards and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on senior electronic security engineer with extensive field experience.
• Strong expertise across CCTV, intruder and access control systems.
• Proven ability to design, install, configure, commission and fault-find complex security systems.
• Extensive knowledge of IP networking and system integration across platforms.
• Experience delivering site surveys and translating requirements into designs and BOMs.
• Ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers and third-party resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and pre-sales activities with the Managing Director, translating risks into viable solutions.
• Undertake site surveys and translate requirements into system designs, specs and BOMs.
• Review designs, risk assessments and provide input to quotations and proposals.
• Provide on-site installation, commissioning and fault-finding leadership for complex projects.
• Coordinate and manage third-party installers, monitor quality and compliance throughout delivery.
• Ensure systems comply with applicable British and European Standards and certification requirements.
