Job summary

Assystem is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the technical delivery of defence projects. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensure technical excellence, and support growth with proposals and client engagement.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will coordinate stakeholders, uphold QMS standards, and own the technical quality across assignments, including bids and tenders for prestigious clients.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• CEng or IEng desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong track record delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Experience with systems engineering approaches and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to engineering delivery teams.
• Lead the technical direction, solution development and delivery of projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful execution.
• Ensure understanding of project requirements, methods and processes.
• Lead Change Control activities across projects.
• Own technical quality and ensure contractual/client requirements are met.
• Act as primary technical contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Report on technical status, risks and performance of projects.
• Ensure compliance with technical, quality and regulatory standards (QMS).
• Ensure SQEP for personnel and support growth via proposals and presentations.
• Develop bids with defined scope, methodologies and estimates.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with the Technical Director.
