Job summary

Assystem Glasgow is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead a Defence framework with senior client leadership. Based in Glasgow, you will act as a senior client interface within the JV, shaping delivery strategies and opportunities to meet evolving Defence requirements.

You will oversee multiple workstreams, manage commercial and technical objectives, mobilise teams, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and programme performance oversight.

Qualifications

Engineering or technical degree required.
Strong understanding of UK Defence Infrastructure sector and supply chain.
Experience in client-facing, framework or programme environments.
Experience working within joint ventures, alliances or collaborative delivery models.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
Commercial awareness and understanding of framework delivery models.
Ability to influence without direct authority across organisational boundaries.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Broad understanding of engineering, delivery and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Act as a senior client interface within the JV, building long-term relationships.
Represent Assystem within the joint venture, aligning with strategic objectives and standards.
Oversee multiple workstreams and ensure delivery across the framework objectives.
Mobilise teams and integrate in-house capability and supply chain.
Drive continuous improvement and consistency across delivery activities.
Provide regular reporting and act as escalation point for delivery, client or partner issues.
