Morson Group is seeking an experienced Clean Water Engineer (Technical Lead) in Reading to act as the technical authority for potable water networks. You will lead investigations, drive regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence across a secure estate.

The role combines technical problem-solving with stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, with a base salary of £48,000 and an annual bonus up to 15%. A strong training culture and employee benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with clean water distribution networks.
• Drinking water quality and regulatory compliance experience.
• DW1 compliance understanding preferred.
• Root cause analysis of water quality events.
• Experience liaising with Environment Agency/regulators.
• Producing technical reports and recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Act as technical lead for clean water distribution networks and potable water systems.
• Lead investigations into water quality events and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with DW1 and DWI standards.
• Provide technical support for network operations and asset performance.
• Investigate customer water quality issues and develop long-term solutions.
• Engage with Environment Agency and regulators during investigations and audits.
• Develop and review technical procedures, risk assessments and standards.
• Support capital investment and network improvement programmes.
• Analyse network performance data and water quality trends to improve resilience.
• Utilise SCADA systems to monitor network performance (desirable).
• Mentor engineers and operational teams with best practices.
• Support emergency responses and incidents.
