Bestman Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to guide the design and delivery of Asset Servicing and post-trade solutions within a major financial services programme. You will provide technical direction across asset servicing, settlement, and payments, working with engineers, architects and business teams.

This role suits a technologist with strong securities post-trade knowledge who wants broader solution design and architecture responsibilities, including APIs and event-driven

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer in a complex technology environment.
• Strong experience within Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions or securities post-trade.
• Good understanding of settlement, custody or securities processing.
• Strong technical background in Java and modern application architecture.
• Experience with APIs, integration, microservices and/or event-driven systems.

Technical Lead – Asset Servicing / Post-Trade

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join a large financial services organisation working on a major Asset Servicing modernisation programme.

You’ll provide technical direction across the design and delivery of solutions within Asset Servicing, working closely with engineers, architects and business teams. The environment covers both legacy and modern technology, with a focus on improving integrations across Asset Servicing, settlement and payments.

This could suit an experienced Technical Lead or Lead Engineer with strong securities post-trade knowledge who wants to take on broader solution design and architecture responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of solutions across Asset Servicing and post-trade systems.
• Provide technical direction and support engineering teams through delivery.
• Design integrations across settlement, payments and other platforms.
• Contribute to solution architecture, technical roadmaps and design decisions.
• Work with APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Work closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer in a complex technology environment.
• Strong experience within Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions or securities post-trade.
• Good understanding of settlement, custody or securities processing.
• Strong technical background in Java and modern application architecture.
• Experience with APIs, integration, microservices and/or event-driven systems.
• Kafka, IBM MQ, Azure, OpenShift or mainframe experience would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and experience working across business and technology teams.
