We are looking for a talented Technical Engineer (2nd or 3rd Line) to join our engineering team.

This role offers flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the week based at our scenic offices overlooking Skiddaw.

Accessible from Carlisle, Cockermouth, Penrith, Workington & Windermere
Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 (depending on experience)

This role is based at our Keswick office with flexibility for 1-2 days remote work.

The Technical Engineer Role:

Seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support a range of technologies including cloud solutions, VoIP, infrastructure projects, and cybersecurity. The role involves problem-solving and hands-on engineering, with a friendly and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for servers, networks, cloud platforms, and VoIP systems
• Designing, quoting, and delivering Windows Server infrastructure and backup solutions
• Remote, phone, and on-site client support across Cumbria and beyond
• Ensuring systems security and cybersecurity best practices
• Collaborating with other engineers and supporting junior team members

About You:

Essential Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach
• Full UK driving license

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years in IT support
• Experience with VoIP and MSP tools like ConnectWise or NinjaRMM
• Familiarity with firewalls (Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti)
• Experience with Datto, Veeam, ShadowProtect, ESET
• Industry certifications and a willingness to learn
