Job summary

Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Technical Inspector to work with a Local Authority client in London. The role involves inspecting housing stock, conducting surveys, and providing technical assessments of properties and building works.

You will identify defects, prepare specifications, and monitor on-site progress while liaising with residents, contractors and internal teams to ensure works meet required standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Technical Inspector, Building Surveyor, Clerk of Works or similar role within social housing, Local Authority or property environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the Council's housing stock and carrying out surveys with accurate technical assessments.
• Identify defects and remedial works; prepare clear technical recommendations and specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors, surveyors, housing teams and internal stakeholders to progress works to standard.
• Monitor on-site works, assess quality and progress; identify issues and ensure remedial action.
