Job summary

Guidant Global is recruiting a Technical Incoming Inspector for Airbus at the Belfast site. The role focuses on ensuring quality and compliance of aircraft components in a live production environment.

The successful candidate will carry out inspection, QC/QA functions and provide instruction to operators, working within a team to monitor schemes and generate technical reports.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship with ≥2 years post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical aerospace environment or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality control requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspection, quality control and quality assurance functions.
• Ensuring product compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, approving authority requirements and regulations.
• Providing instruction and advice to operators as required.
• Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme.
• Working flexibly as part of a team.
• Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies, instigating investigation and corrective action.

Technical Incoming Inspector - Belfast

Location: Belfast (onsite)
Pay Rate: 35.00 per hour PAYE / 46.82 per hour Umbrella
Hours: 36 hours per week over 4.5 days, between 7am-7pm (agreed at business discretion)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (arranged by Airbus Security)

What We're Looking For

Essential

• A completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical aerospace environment, or a manufacturing/assembly/tooling environment
• Familiarity with quality control requirements
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards

Desirable

• ONC/A levels or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of 3D metrology
