Job summary

BWD Search & Selection is recruiting a Technical Governance & Training Executive in Greater London to act as the organisational heartbeat of the wealth management T&C function, coordinating across the Head of T&C and the broader team.

This role blends administration with technical exposure, progressing towards file checking, supervision, or technical management, and offers a clear path for career development within governance.

Qualifications

• Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience within financial planning, wealth management, paraplanning or T&C.
• Ability to juggle several priorities and keep others on track.
• Enough technical knowledge to understand the work of an advice-led T&C function.
• Proactive, process-driven approach and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Level 4 financial-planning qualification preferred, strong experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity across the Head of T&C, supervisors and file checkers.
• Support MI production, reporting and maintenance of records.
• Organise meetings, diaries, actions and competing workstreams.
• Maintain policies, procedures, advice standards and technical collateral.
• Support supplier administration and wider team projects.
• Act as central point of coordination, aiding communication flow across the function.
• Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve team operations.
• Provide broad governance support without carrying responsibility for file reviews.

Technical Governance & Training Executive

This is an opportunity to become the organisational heartbeat of an established wealth management T&C function.

Working closely with the Head of T&C, you will connect the different areas of the team, keep multiple workstreams moving and provide the structure that allows experienced technical professionals to focus on their core responsibilities.

It is not a traditional file-checking or supervisory position. It is a broad coordination role for someone who combines excellent administration with a good understanding of financial planning - great for someone who want to develop into a more technical T&C career or someone who wants to develop their skillset and transition into another role

You will do:

• Coordinate activity across the Head of T&C, supervisors and file checkers.
• Support MI production, reporting and the maintenance of accurate records.
• Organise meetings, diaries, actions and competing workstreams.
• Maintain policies, procedures, advice standards and technical collateral.
• Support supplier administration and wider team projects.
• Act as a central point of coordination, helping communication flow across the function.
• Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve how the team operates.
• Provide broad governance support without carrying responsibility for file reviews.

You’ll bring:

• Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience within financial planning, wealth management, paraplanning or T&C.
• The ability to juggle several priorities and keep others on track.
• Enough technical knowledge to understand the work of an advice-led T&C function.
• A proactive, process-driven approach and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Ideally, a Level 4 financial-planning qualification, although strong relevant experience will also be considered.
• An interest in developing towards file checking, supervision or technical management would be advantageous.
