Job summary

Equip Outdoor Technologies in the United Kingdom is inviting applications for a Mountain Outfitters Assistant on a fixed-term contract through December 2026. You will deliver expert Rab and Lowe Alpine product advice and provide outstanding customer service on the Mountain Outfitters Factory Shop floor.

Working with the Shop Manager, you will handle sales, stockroom duties, returns and exchanges, and liaise with our Birchwood Service Centre for repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to advise on technical products.
• Willingness to work 39 hours per week including Saturday shifts.
• Excellent store presentation and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Answering questions and providing technical advice to customers on shop floor products.
• Identify customer needs and recommend matching products.
• Cross-sell complementary products to enhance purchases.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through sales service.
• Keep store visually appealing and well merchandised.
• Manage stockroom, replenishment and stock control procedures.
• Assist with sales, returns and warranty processes (exchange/credit).
• Coordinate with Birchwood Service Centre about repairs.
