Job summary

Mountain Equipment is seeking an Assistant Equipment Production Technologist in Hyde. You will work with the Senior Equipment Technologist and Buying Team to ensure products meet high quality standards and all technical, compliance and specification requirements before reaching customers.

The role spans product development, quality assurance, compliance, testing and supplier management, offering a pathway to a long-term career in product technology within a respected outdoor brand.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Garment Technology or related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Genuine interest in outdoor products and activities.

Responsibilities

• Support management of equipment and accessories from sample stage through to production.
• Maintain and update product specifications and technical information.
• Coordinate compliance documentation and testing requirements.
• Assist with quality control checks, product approvals and supplier communications.
• Manage and organise product samples and seasonal product reviews.
• Support critical path management to ensure products are delivered on time.
• Review labelling, packaging and product information for accuracy and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and wider product technology activities.

We are looking for an Assistant Equipment Production Technologist to join our Product Team in Hyde. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys working with technical products and is looking to develop their skills within a respected outdoor brand.

The Role

Working closely with the Senior Equipment Technologist and Buying Team, you will help ensure that our products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and meet all technical, compliance and specification requirements before reaching our customers.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to product development, quality assurance, compliance, testing and supplier management, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in product technology.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn.

You will ideally have:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Garment Technology or a related discipline.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A genuine interest in outdoor products and activities.

Experience with PLM systems, spreadsheets, product specifications or work placements within a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
