Are you an experienced financial reporting specialist with a passion to excel, deliver exceptional quality, and drive growth and change? If so, then this role is for you.

The Role

RSM’s audit technical department (NATS) provides technical support to RSM’s audit and financial advisory services business lines. A subset of NATS is the financial reporting specialist team, which provides support on technical accounting and reporting matters.

We are looking for an individual with strong financial and narrative reporting skills, experienced in dealing with complex financial reporting issues and reviewing premium or standard listed company annual reports. The candidate should be able to:

• Work independently and as part of a team
• Mentor junior personnel and develop their technical and communication skills
• Contribute strategically and operationally to departmental development
• Work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Technical pre-clearance reviews on annual reports for high-risk audit clients
• Act as a financial reporting specialist for high-risk clients (depending on skills)
• Provide technical advice on complex accounting and reporting matters
• Lead sub-teams on financial and narrative reporting projects
• Sign off on technical advice from junior team members
• Develop the firm’s brand through technical skills
• Propose and review internal communications and guidance documents
• Recommend responses to regulatory changes
• Contribute to regulatory consultations
