Job summary

Prospero Integrated, a leading global systems integrator in Birmingham, seeks a Technical Estimation Manager to drive AV and VC quotations from initial requirement through delivery. You will design solutions, prepare accurate technical and commercial quotes, and work with project teams to ensure design intent.

Role requires strong client-facing skills, experience with AV standards, and SAP proficiency. You will mentor staff and support cross-location projects within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Manager to build and maintain client relationships.
• Develop AV solutions according to client standards across projects.
• Design and develop complex or bespoke AV solutions beyond standards.
• Produce accurate technical and commercial quotations for client projects.
• Review system designs and documentation to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Attend progress meetings to review projects, opportunities, requirements and risks.
• Support Account Manager with technical planning and pipeline visibility.
• Act as technical contact for Project Managers during delivery phase.
• Ensure continuity from requirement to quotation, design, handover, installation and completion.
• Develop staff through training and a skills matrix.

Job description

My client are a leading global systems integrator who specialise in Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions across the Corporate, Commercial and Residential sectors. They have an active requirement for a Technical Estimation Manager to be a part of their Birmingham team.

Key responsibilities include

• Work closely with the Account Manager to build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Develop AV solutions in accordance with the client's agreed AV standards, ensuring consistency across projects and locations.
• Design and develop more complex or bespoke AV solutions where project requirements sit outside the agreed standards.
• Produce accurate technical and commercial quotations for client projects.
• Work closely with the post-sales design team, reviewing system designs, schematics and technical documentation to ensure the delivered solution aligns with the original design intent.
• Attend bi-weekly account progress meetings to review ongoing projects, upcoming opportunities, technical requirements and potential risks.
• Maintain visibility of the client's upcoming project pipeline and proactively support the Account Manager with technical planning.
• Act as a technical point of contact for Project Managers during the installation and delivery phase, providing clarification and assisting with the resolution of technical issues.
• Help ensure continuity from the initial client requirement through quotation, design, handover, installation and completion.
• Development of staff including internal and external training, developing a skills matrix and future training requirements
• Maintain an organised and professional environment where the team are managed to meet and exceed standards
