Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Technical Engineer to support live construction schemes across the Southwest from Devon sites. This permanent role focuses on technical delivery, quality assurance and temporary works coordination, rather than traditional setting-out.

You will interpret design criteria, verify works against client requirements, and provide engineering guidance across multiple sites, with SMSTS/CSCS desirable and a need for regular travel to Devon projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical engineering solutions on live construction schemes.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and temporary works coordination.
• Ability to interpret design criteria and ensure compliance with client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support across live schemes.
• Manage and coordinate temporary works requirements.
• Ensure works meet design criteria and client specifications.
• Carry out quality assurance and documentation (ITPs, inspections, testing).
• Identify and manage non-conformances and support site teams.
• Assist designers with technical queries and pre-construction activities.
