Job Description

The candidate will join the Vehicle Safety Test Laboratories test team at Gaydon to conduct physical destructive testing on components, systems, and vehicles to meet Passive Safety targets.

Working closely with customers, the data collected will be used to advance engineering development or serve as compliance evidence for witness authorities and others.

The candidate should be able to interpret regulation and requirement test protocols, utilize modern test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems, manage tests to completion, and produce timely test reports.

The role initially involves day shifts, with potential shifts later in the year, including early and late shifts.

Skills

• Experience in physical testing within a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of passive safety regulations and requirements, including FMVSS and ECE standards.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition systems such as force, displacement, and acceleration measurement tools.

Education

• A degree is preferred but not mandatory.
