Job Title: Technical Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £41,000

Location: Rotherham

Type: Permanent

Benefits: 22 days annual leave plus stats (30 in total), increasing to 35 days, private health care, pension, free car parking, bonus schemes, Monday - Friday working hours.

We are partnering with an innovative, modern manufacturing business based in Rotherham to recruit a Technical Engineer. Role Overview

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Technical Engineer will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and implementing foundry techniques, including Titanium, air techniques, and thermal processing.
• Ensuring technical sign-offs are completed.
• Writing and completing Finishing Route Cards.
• Approving heat treatment techniques with support from the Technical Director.
• Participating in techniques meetings.
• Developing, improving, and monitoring manufacturing processes.
• Maintaining logs of product development and data analysis for customer issues and trials.
• Supporting customer projects as the main technical lead, including project meetings.
• Managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Interpreting and presenting data to management and senior colleagues.
• Responding to technical enquiries.

Candidate Profile

This role suits someone currently working as a Manufacturing Engineer or Technical Coordinator within a heat treatment, foundry, steelworks, or castings environment. The candidate should:

• Have knowledge of foundry and heat treatment techniques.
• Be capable of understanding technical information.
• Be proficient with internal databases.
• Be eager to learn and develop technical product knowledge.
• Be able to work independently.
