Technical Director Air Quality | Permanent

Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP85,000 Plus Benefits

Location: Brighton (other locations would be considered)

A Global Award-Winning Consultancy are looking for a Technical Director to join their Air Quality team. The firm specialise in Climate Change, Design, and Environmental Engineering with a range of projects across Commercial, Residential, Aviation, Rail, Sports, Education, Mixed-Use, and many more.

Technical Director Air Quality Requirements:

1. Air Quality Degree or similar
2. Extensive experience in a similar role
3. Full Membership of IES and the IAQM
4. Air Quality Dispersion Models (including ADMS-Roads, ADMS 6.0)
5. Experience with AERMOD, CALPUFF or similar
6. Proficient use with GIS (QGIS)
7. Leadership/mentoring
8. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
9. Ability to travel occasionally
10. Experience in diverse range of projects
11. Clean UK driving licence
12. Experience in bid preparation activities
13. Understanding of programming e.g., Visual Basic, C++, Python, Linux (Desirable)

Technical Director Air Quality Duties:

1. Manage and plan technical aspects of projects
2. Data collection, modelling, post-processing, analysis, and interpretation of technical results
3. Resolve technical questions from internal and external stakeholders
4. Complete ES Chapters and technical reports
5. Prepare proposals and marketing materials
6. Provide technical leadership to improve technical capability and capacity
7. Support with business development
8. Manage the team's performance and conduct regular check-ins/performance reviews
