Job summary

Major homes developer is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead a large in-house planning and design team in Hampshire, overseeing the full technical development process from pre-construction to site completion and operations.

The ideal candidate will drive design programmes within budget, supervise and coordinate architects, planners, engineers and project managers, and report progress at weekly management and bi-monthly board meetings.

• Oversee development and production of standard house and apartment types and details to meet requirements.
• Instruct and review technical viabilities for new land acquisitions; report progress at management and board meetings.

We are working with a Major homes developer with a national brand and an excellent reputation for delivery of high quality homes throughout the UK.

Due to internal restructuring, we are seeking an experienced Technical Director to take responsibility for the busy technical team based in Hampshire.

We are seeking An accomplished senior technical professional with considerable experience within some experience working with the large Developers. Proficient in all areas of the technical development process ranging from pre-construction and planning to Architectural and engineering coordination to site completion and operations, you will be responsible for managing a large in-house planning &\ts design team consisting of Town Planners, Architects, Architectural Technologists, Civil & Structural Engineers and Project Managers.

With your team you will be responsible for establishing design programmes and specifications for each project in accordance with agreed budget parameters and monitoring during the build programme. Overseeing the development and production of a standard range of house and apartment types and standard details to meet all requirements. Additionally you will be Instructing and reviewing technical viabilities for all new land acquisitions, Attending management meetings on a weekly basis and attending Board Meetings on a bi-monthly basis to report on progress.
