About the role:

Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in design engineering? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our busy Office in Waterlooville. As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work closely with our Senior Design Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in producing and updating drawings for some of the UK’s largest construction projects. Our focus is on smoke ventilation as a specialist sub-contractor.

We are seeking someone who is organised, methodical, with excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail. This role is suited for a recent graduate in construction, civil engineering, architecture, or related engineering fields, seeking advancement within a knowledgeable, technical team.

You will be provided with full industry training and opportunities for future progression within the design team as the company continues to grow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Design Office team to understand design requirements and project specifications.
2. Utilise CAD and CFD software to generate precise technical drawings, electrical block schematics, and layout plans based on project specifications.
3. Contribute to large-scale construction projects across the UK.
4. Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive working drawings for tender and quotation purposes.
5. Create detailed installation drawings for field personnel during project implementation.
6. Ensure all drawings are accurate, detailed, and industry-standard compliant.
7. Maintain detailed and accurate records following Design Office procedures.
8. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines for all drawings.
