Job Description:

Our client is expanding and is looking for a talented 3D Technical Designer with SketchUp experience to join their Projects team at their Farnborough headquarters. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for an ambitious, confident self-starter eager to be part of a growing creative company.

As a 3D Technical Designer, you will work closely with Project Managers to create stunning exhibition displays. Using designs from Creative and Sales teams, you will produce 3D technical drawings, 2D schematics, and cut files to ensure flawless project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret 3D renders and briefs into T3 Framework (training provided)
• Create accurate artwork templates for print production
• Develop construction drawings for effective stand building
• Produce 2D schematics and cut files for fabrication
• Generate precise parts lists
• Collaborate with Project Managers to meet deadlines
• Support production with CAD drawings for manufacturing

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience with 3D CAD software, especially SketchUp (beneficial but not mandatory)
• Technical knowledge of construction and substrates is advantageous
• Draftsmanship / 2D CAD experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
• Initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail
• Team collaboration skills
• Experience in the Exhibition industry is preferable but not essential (training provided)
