Job description

As a Technical Designer (3D, Rhino, CAD), you will be central to the studio and be a key support system for our Production and Design teams. This role requires a detail oriented person with a background in 3D design who can create, interpret and co-ordinate the build documentation required to bring our work to life. You will play a key role in ensuring that the creative vision of the design team is seen through and enhanced until installation, overcoming the challenges we meet along the way. We encourage you to be creative and work closely with the Designers to create the best possible work, and often you will be required to help make their ideas become a reality from a production stand-point. Working closely with the Senior Technical Designer, Head of Production and our Project Management team. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of projects and contributing to the creation of awe-inspiring experiences for our clients.

You will be….

• Transferring designs from our 2D and 3D teams into detailed drawing sets, demonstrating a solid knowledge of detail drawing and modelling software (Rhino, CAD) for design approvals and costing
• A good understanding of fabrication processes and materials to suit budget and other constraints
• Working internal and external teams to exchange ideas and find technical solutions to producing our work
• Tracking revisions and updating documentation when required, communicating changes to internal and external teams
• Attending site meetings and presentations with key stakeholders and carrying out site surveys
• Responsible for document control systems and coordination of documents received
• Drawing up site elevations and preparing key documents for designers to work with
• Organised, attentive and happy to work independently
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, and meet deadlines
  
  
  

You must have…

• A proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing (CAD)
• A proficiency in 3D modelling (Rhino)
• Good skills in Adobe Creative Suite
• A portfolio of work showing your modelling and design detailing skills
• Experience from within an environmental branding, architecture, interior architecture, set-build, signage or similar sector
• A keen interest in keeping abreast with software skills and sharing knowledge with the team
• Experience working with and managing drawing sets
