Job summary

Bits In Glass UK seeks a hands-on Technical Delivery Lead to drive engineering strategy for a scalable multi-tenant data integration platform built on Apache Airflow and Google Cloud. You will lead the delivery of production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or data platform engineering with leadership exposure.
• Owns technical roadmaps and aligns delivery with business priorities.
• Strong hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Proficient in GCP services (BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Run) and Terraform.
• Proficient in Python, APIs, testing, and performance tuning.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Designs resilient systems with retry/idempotency patterns.
• Experience implementing data quality controls and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and technical strategy for a scalable data integration platform on Airflow and GCP.
• Build and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines
• Utilise container platforms such as GKE and Cloud Run
• Apply software engineering best practices across APIs, configuration management, and testing
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, release controls, and IaC (Terraform)
• Design for reliability with retries, idempotency, and dead-letter handling
• Translate complex concepts to diverse audiences and align cross-team efforts
• Work with BigQuery for large-scale data warehousing and analytics
• Architect cloud solutions using GCP best practices
