Job summary

Wipro is seeking an APPLICATION ARCHITECT L1 for a hybrid London role. You will lead the engineering delivery and technical direction for a scalable, multi-tenant data integration platform on Google Cloud Platform, orchestrated with Airflow.

You’ll guide the team in robust ETLs, automation, and end-to-end data lineage. Responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap, setting standards, and hands-on contributions to critical ETLs and platform components.

Qualifications

• Proven Technical Lead delivering data engineering or integration platforms in cloud environments.
• Hands-on in production ETL/ELT pipelines and Airflow orchestration.
• Strong GCP experience (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow) and containers.
• Solid Python, APIs, IaC (Terraform) and testing strategies.
• CI/CD and release engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform technical roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Lead solution design for new integrations with maintainability in mind.
• Set engineering standards across coding, testing, observability and security.
• Provide hands-on contributions to ETLs and framework components.
• Design and develop robust Airflow pipelines with scheduling and retries.
• Establish onboarding patterns for new source systems and data delivery.
• Drive data quality controls and operational runbooks.
• Evolve multi-tenant architecture and scalability considerations.
• Improve build, deployment automation and CI/CD practices.
• Implement end-to-end data lineage and observability.
