Job description

Join to apply for the Technical Customer Support Analyst role at Verisk.

The Tech Support Analyst plays a pivotal role in implementing the technical aspects of our client’s installation and supporting internal and external technical issues. In conjunction with other client-facing teams, you will ensure successful client implementation of our products and be responsible for deploying new product releases to our clients' environments. You will handle installation testing of Verisk Extreme Event Solutions products and work with technologies such as Microsoft HPC, Microsoft SQL, VMware, and AWS native services. You will collaborate across departments to ensure successful installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and debugging.

You must be able to work independently on complex problems, analyzing situations with in-depth evaluation. You will represent the organization on specific projects and work directly with clients or through Client Services Managers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line technical support via phone and email to internal and external clients using Verisk Extreme Event Solutions’ software.
  • Define implementation requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • Detect, diagnose, and resolve complex implementation problems.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure quality implementations and deployments.
  • Identify client issues and collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding issue resolution timelines.
  • Test and configure systems to replicate client environments.
  • Document knowledge through tech notes and articles.
  • Support applications based on 3-tier architecture.
  • Research and solve complex technical issues independently.
  • Identify opportunities for technology and process improvements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of IT hardware and software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of technical experience in deployment, application support, or technical support roles with client interaction.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL queries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Active Directory server management.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or Python, VMware, HPC, AWS or other cloud technologies.
  • Insurance knowledge is a plus.
  • English language skills are mandatory.
Education Requirements
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
