Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: Offering a salary up to £42,000 depending on skills and experience

Job grade: B

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Coordinator (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our Wastewater Operations Team in the Cherwell area, based at Banbury Wastewater Treatment Works. This is primarily a field-based role within a supportive Field Operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage maintenance activities through internal teams and external contractors to ensure site KPIs are met, maintaining high service standards within budget.
  • Oversee SAP pre-requisites for complex jobs, including materials, permits, resources, and services.
  • Design operationally critical jobs using technical expertise and field data.
  • Identify operational risks and present funding proposals.
  • Maintain plant and equipment availability and optimize treatment performance.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders, provide technical advice, and generate solutions for operational risks.
  • Obtain quotes, order materials, and manage third-party services.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance, including RAMS review, permitting, and site audits.
  • Meet statutory maintenance requirements for assets like lifting equipment, pressure vessels, and generators.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience in Water or Wastewater treatment, preferably as a Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA technician.
  • Logical, collaborative, and technically knowledgeable with asset maintenance understanding.
  • Good local asset knowledge, meticulous documentation skills, and ability to manage multiple jobs.
  • Proficient with IT systems (SAP) and effective communication skills.
  • Full valid driving license required, as travel between sites is involved with a provided vehicle.
