Job summary

Optimum Patient Care is seeking a Technical Coordinator to maximise impact on quality improvement and research within primary care. You will engage with GP practices, supporting their involvement in QI programs and clinical research, ensuring efficient communication and coordination.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis (3 days in office, 2 days at home) based in our central Norwich or Oakington, Cambridge office. Experience in primary healthcare and data extraction is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Computer Science background and strong IT systems proficiency.
  • Experience with Office 365 and data extraction processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in primary healthcare and research activities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and coordinate GP sites and maintain professional relationships.
  • Act as the main contact for GP sites.
  • Record information accurately on platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and support GP sites in data extraction.
  • Support project documentation and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Arrange technical appointments to extract data and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to external meetings and disseminate minutes and actions.
  • Occasional travel to GP sites for data collection.

Job description

Optimum Patient Care is a not-for-profit, social enterprise, working to improve the diagnosis, treatment and management of chronic diseases. We work with primary care practitioners and specialists to produce high quality patient profiles that facilitate improvements care, especially for those with chronic respiratory conditions.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a key role in maximising OPC's impact on quality improvement and research within primary care. You will engage with GP practices, supporting their involvement in quality improvement (QI) programs and clinical research, ensuring efficient communication and coordination throughout.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis (3 days in office, 2 days at home) based in our central Norwich or Oakington, Cambridge office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and coordinate GP sites and ensure regular communication and professional relationships.
  • Act as point of contact for our GP sites.
  • Record information accurately on the relevant platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and support GP sites in extracting data.
  • Support the implementation of project documentation
  • Liaise with Project Stakeholders
  • Support and arrange technical appointments to extract data and to resolve issues with GP sites.
  • Contribute to external meetings and ensure timely dissemination of minutes and actions.
  • Occasional travel to GP sites to collect and record data.
  • Computer Science background
  • Proficiency with IT systems including Office 365
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a team.
  • The ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to learn and takes personal responsibility to do so.
  • Experience of working in the primary healthcare sector.
  • Interest or experience in research activities.
