Job summary

Tristram Parker Recruitment is recruiting a Technical Coordinator for an established manufacturer of external wall insulation and render systems, based in Loughborough. The role combines CAD detailing, technical coordination and customer support with in-house training.

You will issue AutoCAD drawings, prepare specifications, and perform U-value calculations. This office-based position requires strong communication with clients and colleagues and good organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience in a construction or retrofit environment.
• GCSEs at 9–4/A*–C including Maths and a Science subject.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue standard and bespoke system detail drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support the preparation of technical specifications, data sheets and project documentation.
• Produce U-value calculations using JPA software, with in-house training provided.
• Prepare system specifications following relevant training.
• Collate technical information and submittals for individual projects.
• Respond to customer and contractor enquiries by telephone, email and video call.
• Coordinate information with sales, technical services and laboratory colleagues.
• Maintain technical databases, product records, drawing files and document control systems.
• Monitor shared inboxes and direct enquiries to the right team members.
• Help develop a Technical Assistant’s understanding of drawings and technical queries.

Technical Coordinator – CAD & Building Products

**Location:** Loughborough, Leicestershire – office-based

**Hours:** 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Tristram Parker Recruitment is recruiting a Technical Hub Coordinator for an established manufacturer of external wall insulation and render systems, supporting new-build, refurbishment and energy-efficiency projects across the UK.

This opportunity combines CAD detailing, technical coordination and customer support, with in-house training to develop your knowledge of thermal performance calculations and system specifications.

The role

Working within the technical team, you’ll help ensure customers, specifiers and colleagues receive accurate technical information when they need it.

• Preparing and issuing standard and bespoke system detail drawings using AutoCAD.
• Supporting the preparation of technical specifications, data sheets and project documentation.
• Producing U-value calculations using JPA software, with in-house training provided.

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience within a construction or retrofit environment.
• Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and business customers.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• At least five GCSEs at grades 9–4/A*–C, or equivalent, including Mathematics and a Science subject.
• A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge.
• Experience with external wall insulation, render systems, technical specifications or U-value calculations would be advantageous, but specialist training will be provided. Previous experience supporting or mentoring colleagues and a full UK driving licence would also be useful.
