Job summary

Pertemps Tm is recruiting a Technical Coordinator for a permanent role in Exeter. The position sits mainly in the office with regular travel to site, supporting technical managers on residential schemes in the South West.

You will work on design through post-completion, manage engineering and working drawings, and help secure technical approvals to build homes to a high standard. The role offers progression toward running sites depending on development stage.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating from design through post-completion on residential schemes.
• Experience with engineering and working drawing packages.
• Strong IT and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support technical managers and coordinate on 1–2 sites locally.
• Assist with managing design packages and technical approvals to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to running sites as developments progress.

A new vacancy has arisen for a driven and motivated Technical Coordinator in Exeter!

Working for a well-known and reputable business who provide quality homes in the South West, building homes within the community in desirable locations. Working in an experienced and dynamic team you will work along side the a technical manager.

A proven background supporting or managing residential schemes is essential. The role is largely office based with regular travel to site.

To compliment their existing team with an additional coordinator, to support technical managers and also work towards running their own sites depending on what stage the development is at.

The company have ambitious yet achievable growth plans and would like to bring in the additional staff to future proof the department and hopefully train up the next generation of technical managers over the coming years.

You will work closely with experienced Technical Managers on 1 -2 sites located in the local areas. As the technical coordinator will be involved in projects from design stage through to post completion. You will assist with managing engineering and working drawing packages with the aim of building homes to a high standard whilst obtaining all necessary technical approvals. You will support the TM with projects to ensure deadlines are met.

Attributes and experience required:

• Proven experience working in a similar role (technical coordinator, design coordinator or relevant)
• Experienced within the house building sector
• Good technical knowledge
• Good understanding of the planning process
• Good knowledge of section agreements including 104 & 38
• Confident in supporting on large sites
• Organised
• Commercially aware
• Strong communicator
• Excellent IT skills
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Driven and self motivated
