BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited is seeking a Technical Control Room Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of renewable assets globally.

You will manage site access, monitor SCADA systems, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety rules while coordinating with O&M contractors and partners. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work within a rotating shift pattern in a hybrid Edinburgh setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Control Centre environment or with SCADA in power generation.
• Knowledge of Wind Turbine safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Fully IT literate with ability to work across multiple systems and processes.
• Strong logical thinking and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team player with collaboration skills and commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate controlled visitor access to sites and communicate clearly.
• Monitor renewable assets using SCADA and operation management software; respond to alarms/faults.
• Maintain up-to-date work control records and plant life histories.
• Oversee safe release of plants under the safe system of work; follow Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
• Communicate with O&M contractors, customers, and external partners; escalate safety incidents as needed.
• Monitor weather forecasts and issue timely safety alerts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Control Centre services and processes.

Operation Services Limited## **About the role**We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Technical Control Room Operator to join and help lead our Renewables Control Centre. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of renewable assets on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include overseeing site access control, monitored handovers of plants, real-time performance tracking, safety compliance, and remote monitoring using operation management software for BESS, Wind and Solar PV technology.
