Job summary

BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited seeks a Technical Control Room Operator to lead our Renewables Control Centre and ensure safe, efficient operation of global assets.

You will monitor SCADA systems, manage plant life histories, and coordinate with O&M contractors while maintaining rigorous safety standards and clear communication under shifting conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a Control Centre environment or with SCADA systems in power generation.
• Knowledge of Wind Turbine safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Fully IT literate.
• Ability to work with multiple systems and processes.
• Ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with colleagues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate controlled visitor access to sites and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Monitor renewable assets via SCADA and our management software, address alarms promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date work control records and plant life history records.
• Oversee safe release of plants under the safe system of work and Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
• Liaise with O&M Contractors, customers, and external partners.
• Act as central point for health and safety incidents, escalating as needed.
• Monitor weather forecasts and issue safety alerts when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Control Centre services and processes.

In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of renewable assets on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include overseeing site access control, monitored handovers of plants, real-time performance tracking, safety compliance, and remote monitoring using operation management software for BESS, Wind and Solar PV technology.
