Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Technical Consultant (C++ Linux Networking) in Cambridge with hybrid work options, including work-from-home. You will support customers with technical integration and bespoke developments of core software products for automotive/high‑performance contexts, traveling in the UK and Europe for client engagements.

The role requires strong C/C++ and networking know‑how, familiarity with Linux toolchains and Android build systems, and excellent communication to present

Qualifications

• Experience developing software using C/C++ for cross platform use.
• Strong understanding of networking programming, protocol design, compression, security and multithreaded programming.
• Familiarity with Linux tool-chains and Android build systems.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Active technologist, attends conferences/meet-ups, writes blogs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable demonstrating products to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with technical integration and bespoke application developments of core software products.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and present solutions; articulate requirements to the engineering team and coordinate delivery.
• Work within an R&D environment, exploring cutting edge technology and prototyping ideas that could become new product lines.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive customer engagement.
