NHS Business Services Authority is seeking a Technical Consultant to join the NHS Pensions Technical Consultancy Team on a Band 5 to Band 6 progression pathway. The role focuses on providing expert guidance on NHS Pension Scheme regulations and wider UK pensions legislation, handling complex technical enquiries and supporting policy changes.

You will develop specialist expertise, mentor colleagues, and interact with internal and external stakeholders to improve pension administration.

• Create and update technical guidance, procedures and customer communications.
• Support development of scheme literature and website content.
• Build relationships with teams, employers and external stakeholders.
• Deliver coaching and mentoring to colleagues.
• Contribute to projects and service improvements in the Technical Consultancy Team.
• Support responses to dispute resolution cases and investigations.
• Manage workloads to meet service levels and regulatory requirements.
• Produce reports and technical information for decision-making.

Are you looking for a role where you can grow your pensions career whilst helping to shape and support one of the UK's largest public sector pension schemes?

We're looking for a Technical Consultant to join our NHS Pensions Technical Consultancy Team on a Band 5 to Band 6 progression pathway. This is an exciting opportunity to build specialist expertise, work on complex technical matters and play a key role in supporting the administration of the NHS Pension Scheme.

As a Technical Consultant, you'll provide expert guidance on NHS Pension Scheme regulations and wider UK pensions legislation. You'll investigate complex cases, support colleagues with coaching and mentoring, contribute to policy and legislative changes, and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll be supported to develop your skills and progress through the career framework as your knowledge and experience grow.
