Job summary

LHC Procurement Group in the Midlands region is seeking a Technical Construction Support Officer to help deliver value to clients and support procurement frameworks. You will assist with project tracking from award through to completion, liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure procurement and project outcomes are met.

The role offers a mix of field and office work with regional travel and close collaboration with the Senior Technical Support Manager and wider LHC team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a building, construction or housing environment.
• A vocational qualification in a building, construction or technical discipline.
• Good understanding of construction products, services and technical documentation.
• Experience using databases, CRM systems, or platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with everyone from site teams to senior leaders.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload across multiple projects and locations.

Responsibilities

• Support projects throughout their lifecycle from RIBA stages 0–7, including attending pre-start and progress meetings, monitoring progress and helping resolve issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with public sector clients, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, including review of tender documentation, validation of contractor pricing and guidance on LHC frameworks and services.
• Undertake site and factory visits to monitor quality, compliance and adherence to specifications.
• Promote LHC products and services through stakeholder engagement, industry events and marketing activities.
• Track projects after award to ensure they run smoothly.
