Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
• Proven experience in one of the following technical areas: Land Surveying, Engineering Surveying, Environmental Monitoring, Planning, GIS/Geospatial, Environmental Consultancy.
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing technical teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing client relationships, quotations, tenders or project profitability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary technical team.
• Drive the commercial performance of the department, identifying opportunities for growth and increased profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Oversee quotations, tenders and technical project delivery.
• Support business development activities and help secure new work.
• Improve technical processes, systems and ways of working.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with operational teams to deliver commercially successful technical solutions.
• Monitor team performance, resource planning and departmental objectives.
