Job summary

Untypical Limited in the North East is seeking a Closing Out Manager to lead housing developments on a fixed-term contract of around six months. You will manage planning condition discharge, coordinate layout changes and oversee external consultants to deliver cost-effective design solutions.

The role requires commercial awareness, ability to manage budgets and deadlines, and strong attention to detail to ensure NHBC requirements are met and projects progress on time.

Qualifications

• Commercial awareness and accurate interpretation of design drawings.
• Able to prepare, manage and maintain Adoption fees, costs and budgets.
• Ability to work to deadlines and meet programme timescales.
• Attention to detail when analysing historic matters, including supporting customer care issues.
• Able to recognise problems and solve them in a positive, timely and cost effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with planning conditions discharge.
• Coordinate layout and plot amendments.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure preparation of technical information.
• Manage external consultants and ensure cost-effective design solutions.
• Oversee technical information to be received, checked and distributed on time and within budget.
• Support construction teams ensuring plots meet quality standards and NHBC requirements.
• Manage drainage and highways adoption processes.
• Oversee utility services.
• Ensure drawings meet Local Authority and NHBC requirements.
• Lead monthly Project Team Meetings and handover to Commercial Department.
• Manage the technical fee budgets and coordinate design drawings distribution.
