Technical Claims Executive

Location: Hybrid (office in East Anglia region) | Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 | Working Hours: Full time (35 hours) or part time considered (minimum 28 hours)

The Company A respected and well‑established commercial insurance specialist is looking to strengthen its Claims function with a highly capable Technical Claims Executive. Known for delivering a personalised, expert service, this organisation supports a broad portfolio of commercial clients and partners, operating with a strong reputation for professionalism, integrity and customer value.

The Role: In this senior technical role, you will act as the expert within the Claims team, managing complex losses across multiple classes of insurance. Reporting into senior leadership, you will support the Claims Manager, lead client review meetings, and drive improvements to claims processes and customer outcomes.

This is a hybrid role based from an East Anglia office, with occasional travel to a second regional office as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing claims from first notification to closure, including large and complex commercial losses
  • Acting as a referral point for technical claims enquiries across the business
  • Preparing and leading claims review meetings with clients, including relevant reporting
  • Supporting the Claims Manager with workload management and technical oversight
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance claims handling processes and customer service
  • Maintaining accurate electronic files and task management on Acturis
  • Building and managing strong relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and suppliers
  • Keeping up to date with market developments and attending industry/networking events
  • Supporting wider business activity as required
Experience & Qualifications Essential
  • Proven experience handling large and complex claims across all major commercial insurance classes
  • Strong track record of leading client claims review meetings
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Cert CII qualified
  • GCSEs including Maths & English (Grade C/4+)
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written and face-to-face
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Confident user of MS Office
Desirable
  • Previous experience using Acturis
  • Dip CII or equivalent knowledge/experience
